On a beautiful Tuesday night, July 11th, we went on a community trip to Music Under the Stars at Barclay Farmstead. Music Under the Stars is a fantastic free summer concert series at Barkley Farmstead, a historic oasis hidden in the bustling city of Cherry Hill, NJ.
We had 6 residents and 6 guests from Taipin, and Jon, Jen, Jessica and Saori on the trip that night. We had a nice evening picnic on the lawn as we listened to a performance by “Lights Out” a Frankie Vallie Tribute Band. We had lawn chairs provided for a comfortable spot to sit and watch the show on the grounds of this historic 32 acre property. We enjoyed the great music, the beautiful weather, wonderful guests and delicious food and beverages. We couldn’t ask for anything more!
Some residents were also able to step inside the farmhouse for a complimentary guided tour. It was a very nice tour to see the historic site on the property. We learned a lot about the family who used to live there 200 years ago and how their life was like back then. We definitely appreciate all the technology we have now! It was a beautiful house inside and out.
Overall, it was such a fun and wonderful night at Barclay Farmstead!
