Three times a year we are treated to a special presentation by The Watermark Players. This is a group of residents who rehearse diligently for months to provide us with an entertaining evening of music and sketches. Our players work with the staff of Philly Senior Stage to create a unique theatrical production for the community.
Last week was the summertime production of “Love and Marriage” – a review of music, sketches, and jokes dedicated to all things love. Some of the songs included timeless classics lie “La Vie En Rose” and “I’m Gonna Write Myself a Letter” and the audience was invited to sing along to “It’s a Grand Night for Singing” and “The Best Things in Life are Free”. The auditorium was jam-packed with residents and guests who all thoroughly enjoyed the production.
We thank each and every resident who has participated in The Watermark Players, and a special thanks to Robb Hutter, Steve Hatzai, and Carla Mariani from Philly Senior Stage. If you are interested in getting involved with the next production, please be sure to attend the next Watermark Players Workshop in July!
