If you live in Philadelphia, then I should not have to tell you how beautiful it is. Originally called Southwest Square. Rittenhouse was named in 1825 after David Rittenhouse, a descendant of the first paper-maker in Philadelphia. This square sits in the middle of some of the most desirable addresses in Philadelphia. The park hosts dozens of events throughout the year. Popular restaurants and retail stores surround the tree-filled park, which offers an oasis of respite and relaxation amidst the bustling city. The Springs visited the park on a lovely July afternoon, Peg Bravmans request. Peg and another Springs resident David Ewing called this area home. Peg’s grandparents lived across the street in one of the high rises. David grew up on 20th & Pine streets just down the street. They both sat and reminisced about the square and how the neighborhood has changed for the better. What neighborhood should we visit next?
