Fun and laughter filled the Auditorium during our Karaoke Party. We had huge success with this event, held for the first time. Residents and associates pitched in to sing the lyrics to favorite ballads such as “Mack the Knife” and “Stormy Weather”. This was the song of choice for Harry Siano; resident of The Inn neighborhood. Harry did a magnificent job with his interpretation of this song. After we cheered on several residents, associates got up the courage to sing a few melodies of choice. The Community Life Directors got together and did a quartet rendition to “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”. Residents enjoyed seeing the associates having fun. We were putting into action our 6th operating principle “Don’t take yourself too seriously”. We had loads of fun and I think we all realized that the power to having fun is all in the team.
