Anyone who has spent time here at The Watermark has most likely been able to enjoy our beautiful terrace garden. While it might be in hibernation for the winter, that terrace transforms into a botanical oasis in the spring and summer. It is so well-maintained that it actually won us an award for Garden of Distinction from the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society. Please join us on Wednesday, March 20th for a talk entitled “The Cradle of American Gardening”. Gardening has been part of the regional identity of Philadelphia since its inception more than three centuries ago. This talk, by Nicole Juday of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, examines some of the factors that have contributed to the development of world-class horticultural institutions in our region and the elevation of gardening to its highest form by professionals and home gardeners.
