Mr. Nelson Henry Jr. of The Inn at The Watermark Logan Square was honored by Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Mu Omega Chapter in recognition of the 75th anniversary of his joining the fraternity. This special recognition took place on September 2nd, 2016. Mr. Henry’s fellow Mu Omega Chapter members joined him for his special day along with his son Dean Henry and daughter in-law Karen Henry, who coordinated the refreshments and Omega Psi Phi-themed decorations. On one table were memorabilia of Mr. Nelson’s fraternity jersey and a picture of his line brothers dated from 1924. Mr.Nelson attended Lincoln University where he pledged and lettered in football and wrestling. When Mr. Henry was asked of his thoughts of the fraternity, he expressed; “I would encourage young men to join our fraternity because it teaches you about life, friendship, and brotherhood.” This event was a celebration of honor and brotherhood.
